Lisa Papineau…

Lisa Papineau “Night Moves” (Lunatic Works)

Lisa Papineau has been around for quite a while now, you just might not know her name. She is probably best known for being the female voice behind AIR‘s “Surfing On A Rocket” and M83‘s “Teen Angst” and now she has released her debut solo album, Night Moves. Unfortunately, Night Moves doesn’t ever really touch the heights of her work with AIR or M83. That’s not to say Night Moves is a wasted affair though. The album’s title is certainly appropriate as this is minimal background music best kept for the silence of late nights. It’s a wonderful album to unwind to after a long day and albums like that will always hold their rightful place in my collection.

RIYL: Beth Orton, AIR, Portishead
